About the Company
Kamtex-Khimprom JSC is the youngest chemical factory of the West Urals but also one of the oldest because it is the successor of Perm Chemical Plant named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze which was founded in 1916 as Perm Superphosphate Plant.
Since 1998, Kamtex-Khimprom JSC has been focused on manufacture of two main products: phthalic anhydride (PA) and dioctyl phthalate (DOP). Furthermore, the factory also produces fumaric acid (FA); since November 2007, it has been producing benzoic acid (BA).
The company owns two parent shops and nine support shops, due to the flow route used to convert ortho-xylene to phthalic anhydride and then to dioctyl phthalate. The factory productions meet up-to-the-minute requirements, all manufacturing processes are automated. The process solutions allow to obtain top-quality phthalic anhydride, fumaric acid and DOP which has long ago been justly appreciated in Russia and abroad.
The phthalic-anhydride/fumaric-acid system was delivered from the West Germany, and has been in use at the factory since 1980. In 1993, the manufacture was retrofitted and ramped up from 60 to 90 thousand tons per year, placing Kamtex-Khimprom JSC among the world’s ten largest phthalic anhydride manufacturers.
Kamtex-Khimprom JSC has been engaged in DOP production since 1997, the manufacture was set up within a short time (3 years) by the company’s workforce. It took a shop staff a year to reach the design capacity of 16 thousand tons per year. In 2003, our DOP manufacture was retrofitted and thus ramped up to 26 thousand tons per year. In 2015, the daily output was brought to 140 tons by installing an extra route.
The finished products are transported by rail or by road.
As of today, Kamtex-Khimprom JSC is a state-of-art, high-end, quality-oriented company.
Kamtex-Khimprom JSC is committed to steady and efficient operation which serves the interests of the company’s shareholders and staff, the interests of Perm Krai and the entire Russia.
